Felipe Mora's Scoring Form Needs to Be Highlighted More Often

As the Timbers' lack of offensive creativity begins to show it's ugly face once again. One shining light in the attack is Felipe Mora.

The now 30-year-old Chilean Forward appears to be the Timbers sharpest tool in an otherwise dull attack at the moment. Leading the team with 5 goals in 8 appearances this season.

It remains to be seen whether or not Mora's career numbers thus far will be enough to propel Portland into the MLS Playoff Cup picture. But one thing is for sure, while the front office was parousing the international market for attacking talent. They may have overlooked what is proving to be their most fruitful option already inside the club, a fully healthy Felipe Mora.

I hope he maintains his level of play this season & throws in a brace or even a hat trick somewhere down the line. Phil Neville will need to revamp his attack to make that happen though.
